Music Video research 10th June - 29th June

Music videos where originally used as 'promos' to market and promote a single from an artist/album. Music videos are used to showcase the artists talent and contribution to the specific type of music genre. Researching 'the purpose of a music video' will in-able me to create a concept/story line that projects the true meaning of the singles lyrics.

Task 3

This task is based on making a montage of different styles of music videos.
I chose to carry out this task because it allowed me to look at a number of codes and conventions that a number of music video directors follow, along with why artists or labels choose specific styles for their music video. Creating the montage allowed me to gain inspiration when it came to writing down ideas for my music video.
